I'm Jim Josselyn and I'd like to welcome you to American Film Review. I'm a father, dog owner, football fan, business owner, aspiring health nut and composer. My music has been featured on over twenty television programs, two commercials and two (very) small independent films. I believe film is the closest we can come to consciousness in art; when all the elements - action, sound, writing and cinemaphotography - are working in concert we are swept away and gladly join the artists on their journey. We forget ourselves and become someone or something else, or remember a time when we were someone or something else. On this blog we will review current films, look back at great movies from the past, and hopefully start an open, honest and interesting discussion about film in America.
